Indigenous Rehabilitation was established with the intent purpose of supporting Indigenous clinical models and practices to achieve Whānau Ora (family wellbeing).  We are innovative, and invested in the pursuit of whanau health, empowerment, and independence.

One of our key areas of focus is creating and providing solutions for wider communities, and building a greater reach with our clinical model.  Critical to all of this, is building an authentic team of like-minded individuals, organisations, and communities who share the same passion and commitment to well-being. 

Position: Physiotherapist:

To support our clinic in Tauranga Moana, Indigenous Rehabilitation is excited to launch its first Auckland based Physio & Rehabilitation clinic, at the heart of What Ever It Takes. 

Indigenous Rehabilitation is leading the way in regard to the way our clinicians and health practitioners engage with the families we care for, the athletes and sports teams we support, the communities we work in. Our collaborative and collective approach alongside our practise model Ngākau Purotu is what sets us apart. Because of this and the demand for our services we are looking for a dynamic physiotherapist to support our med fees clinic run out of our facility in Mt Albert. If you:

As an Indigenous Health physiotherapist, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day clinical support of clients from all walks of life.  You will work in collaboration with the team to deliver our holistic and integrated approach with our clients, connecting and implementing programmes both in clinic, and in a variety of community settings. 

You will be provided with a high level support, as well as ongoing development opportunities and upskilling.  You will also be put through our very own Ngākau Purotu course, teaching you about our practically applied Māori model of clinical practice.  You will also work alongside, and under the supervision of an allied health team, with direct support from our senior physiotherapist.

Experience, Expertise & Competence:

  • Be able to support clients so they can achieve their personal goals

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Be able to work independently as well as with a team

  • Have good time management skills, organisational and administrative skills

  • Be self managing

  • Be able to work within our Ngākau Purotu model of practice

  • Have a strong desire to grow, and continually improve

  • You must have a current NZ Physiotherapy Annual Practicing Certificate

  • Full drivers licence
